At YouGrove, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our tree adoption services and olive oil products. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and returns.

Tree Adoption Refunds

Cancellation Period

You may cancel your tree adoption within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided that:

  • No olive oil has been shipped from your adoption
  • Your adoption certificate has not been personalized and sent
  • The cancellation request is made in writing

Partial Refunds

If you cancel your adoption after the initial 14-day period but before receiving your first shipment, you will receive a partial refund minus a $25 processing fee.

Mid-Year Cancellations

If you cancel your adoption after receiving shipments, you will receive a prorated refund based on the remaining months of your adoption period, minus any shipping costs already incurred.

Olive Oil Product Refunds

Damaged or Defective Products

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will:

  • Send a replacement product at no additional cost
  • Provide a full refund if replacement is not possible
  • Cover all return shipping costs

Quality Issues

If you are not satisfied with the quality of your olive oil, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will investigate the issue and may offer:

  • A replacement product
  • A full or partial refund
  • Store credit for future purchases

Shipping and Return Policy

Return Shipping

For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect items), we will cover all return shipping costs. For other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise stated.

Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at support@yougrove.com with your order number
  2. Provide photos if the item is damaged or defective
  3. Wait for our return authorization
  4. Ship the item back using the provided return label (if applicable)

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for refunds:

  • Personalized adoption certificates that have been printed and sent
  • Custom labels that have been produced
  • Digital products and downloads
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Items damaged due to customer misuse or negligence

Refund Processing

Processing Time

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 5-10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Refund Amount

The refund amount will include the purchase price minus:

  • Any shipping costs (unless the return is due to our error)
  • Processing fees (for cancellations after 14 days)
  • Any discounts or promotions applied to the original purchase

Subscription Cancellations

If you have a recurring adoption subscription, you may cancel at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive services until the end of the paid period, and no refunds will be issued for the remaining period unless otherwise specified.

Special Circumstances

Force Majeure

In cases of natural disasters, extreme weather, or other circumstances beyond our control that affect tree health or harvest, we will work with you to find a suitable solution, which may include partial refunds or extended adoption periods.

Tree Health Issues

If your adopted tree experiences health issues that prevent it from producing oil, we will:

  • Transfer your adoption to another healthy tree
  • Provide a prorated refund for the affected period
  • Offer store credit for future purchases
